Joined another challenging and exciting contest again, the "Designbyhumans Assassin's Creed Unity Official Design Contest"..

Recently joined another contest by Designbyhumans, and this time the theme was for the Assassin's Creed video game. This is for the upcoming historical action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft and the name is, Assassin's Creed Unity. This is to be released at around November or December 2014 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This game is the seventh major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and the successor to 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Created 2 entries with the same theme, only the color scheme is changed, here are some screenshots of the process. Coudln't record the processess with Camtasia since the laptop is really slow.

No post for July due to laziness but was busy doing some illustrations, feels like the blog is dying already, haha...

It was bad not to post some personal artworks from last month, but was doing illustrations for commission. Also, there's this new trend that has caught the attention to build a much arranged and clean portfolio that is needed as preparation. Not too lazy, but has also made something for fun though it was made from really past months and late upload...

Below, are the finished illustrations from previous WIPs, only the "Imperius" was left undone. These illustrations was for Existence Games. Thanks to them for giving the opportunity to do some really cool stuff.

It's been a long period, there are personal studies that is not here but will be posted for the blog if it is grabbed there, haha! Currently doing an another set of card illustration, here's a progress screenshot on it:

Finally finished the illustrations for a card game project for some client. Here is a slice picture of the illustration. Gonna post soon all of it when client approves.

Slow progress of WIP's

Here are some updated things on the current things to be done. Slow in painting but maybe it's fine as long as getting used to a much refined process is taking place. The thing focused is how to maintain standard processes on the painting stages and developed from it along the way.

First post for May and some things needed to be done and continued...

Haven't made any updates really for this blog for the last month, it seems that it was forgotten and is almost to decay, haha. No internet connection for the recent and hasn't able to participate and submit pieces for some artists painting groups in facebook but soon the connection will come though it is portable. For the last weeks was able to make some artworks for something and here are some cut pieces of some of it, couldn't post the whole thing since it's not appropriate, here are some of it:

Personal website will be updated soon since the previous code and website layout was refreshed and decided to much simplify the layout of the design. The watermarking design of all artworks was changed into another version for a more simplified portfolio. The site will be up soon but needs more time.

Loads of work from the previous weeks and time...

Haven't done any blog update from the previous days and wasn't able to make any studies and personal artworks. Here is a screenshot of the WIPs that was done but these were finished just recently and there are next things to come. Need to ask permission from the client to actually post the items here soon:

The one at the left side is for a book cover and the 4 next to it are illustrations for a card game. There are other 4 new illustrations soon for the card game but recently cancelled 2 cover illustration since the deadline is tight and the concept more details and description, maybe it couldn't be done within that time since freelancing is only part-time and needs to sleep too, haha!.

First post of April, no finished art since there are other things...

Couldn't finish the fan art for Diablo III and there was other activities from the previous weeks. Other works needed to be done and are still on progress, here are some slices:

Another Diablo III fan art on the making..

This is another fan art for the Diablo III game that was started a couple of days ago and is far away from half way done. Come to realize that there isn't any artworks done that is a complete fantasy art, maybe gonna start to create them little by little at a time. Here's the screenshot of the current painting:

Was kinda doing other things on the previous week...

Didn't do any studies, speed painting and updates for blog since it was a lot of things happened, but will go back to the usual routine now since it was done. From previous week, started a painting for Diablo III Reaper of Souls Fan Art Contest on deviantart.com with a group of team mates. The starting time was limited during the first session but was continued for a couple of hours and was stopped for a couple of days. And now, only 2 days left and the thing is almost done. Kinda happy to see the entries there, another fun stuff, learning and gaining experience from the rest of the guys out there, check them out here.

Didn't make some finished artworks from the previous weeks but was doing scraps on color mood and quick paintings, here's a compilation from January's and February's.

Testing out new brushes and new class of painting session study..

Wasn't able to make an entry for deviantart's "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" contest because of laziness and thus sleep the remaining hours. It's fine though but on those previous days, continued to explore and study, downloaded brushes and customize some of them and it turned out to be fun. Here's some sort of quick painting with the brushes.

Use the brushes for some environment study focusing on gray scale mood to simplify form and values. Here's session 1 and 2:
