The second super hero artpiece, the Iron Blade...

Thought of creating a super hero after watching some good references on DC  and Marvel characters on the visual library. The reference was Aquaman, Green Lantern, Batman,  Captain America and many more and it was kind of hard to imagine the super hero to be created. At the other side, there was this picture of Rononoa Zoro, the One Piece character with the badass swordplay on the TV series and that's when the idea came into mind. Pictured a hero that would bring swords but not samurai and not like that of Zoro and with the build up of Captain America and Green Lantern. The color combination should be red with blue and here are some process screenshots on the piece below:

It was hard to make muscles, that's the thing discovered to be taking a lot of time. Without the references, the illustration would surely look different, haha! Below is the final illustration and it's satisfactory for the mean time:

And, this is the second super hero illustrated, the first one was Captain America but it was an illustration for a t-shirt contest on threadless.

Another sketching study pieces before January comes...

It's almost new year, only 2 days left and a start of another year comes. Good health and more success for this coming year to all of us! Here are some sketches for the sketch pad, sketching this days has become fun, inspired by artists with sketchbook on their gallery. Also, find big areas that needs to be improved.

Having a hard time finding a computer rental station that can scan a sketch the pages of the sketch pad, it seems that most of them here is only suitable for bond papers but this time find a good one compared to the previous and still some parts was not included in the scan. Though everything is fine, haha!

Looking on some old unfinished digital paintings and decided to continue doing one...

There are plenty of unfinished concepts on the "Digital Painting Studies" folder on the desk. Usually illustrate ideas and concepts that comes on to mind but by a couple of hours, it will be left behind and sleep or maybe do other things instead. Just now, selected an unfinished concept into which the background was already grayscayled while the character was left rough.

Here are the screenshots below:

The mouth was changed largely and it now looks bad, maybe it needs to be changed again. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks for visiting this blog!

Completed a rough digital painting this time...

Recently made some grayscale digital painting for fun and study, it was not completed though and was left behind. But this time, took some hours to make it done completely.

Here is are the screenshots:

Had fun with this one, but the hair, the brush strokes resulted into something different, didn't like how it was done. It's been always like that, didn't have the technique and knowledge to make hair more realistic and not not kinda strokey, meaning the brush stroke using the round brush with dynamics. The greenish shades also was made as a finishing touch, maybe it's something that doesn't fit there but kinda like to put it there though, haha...

It's been a long while, the website was not considered it was ignored even though it does not run on hosting anymore, it's live...

Created a personal website for portfolio purposes from year 2011. The pages was run with the aid of AJAX and an edited snippets of JQuery and PHP. The portfolio content is also not updated, there are plenty of things happened and the content should be updated, but due to laziness and other things that was done, it was left behind.

The slideshow on the landing page was powered by WOW slider, a JQuery powered software which you can download and let's you choose template for your own image slider or gallery. When you have finished modifying your template, you can generate a web version of that template you created.

The method is that, when you want to put the chosen template on your website, you need to slice the codes and copy only the things that needs to be used. It's not that hard when you have browsers like chrome or firebug that helps you locate a specific portion on the web and see the codes that were presented.

Was planning to put the methods used on the website and put it here as a tutorial, but needs to review the whole codes to provide good arrangement, it was like year 2011 was the last update on the code, hahaha! Somewhere in 2012 when the website is turned into a live one but the hosting is still there, it was never gone.

Maybe, in some other time when there's space, the website will be updated for the portfolio to be aranged and  for some other period do freelance and also to get back a little bit on web.

Slacking off and doing some content studies on the new sketch pad, finally able to bought one!..

Recently brought an affordable sketch pad for the first time ever, the "Corona" sketch pad with 50 sheets of 9 x 12 papers. This will be used for sketching and studying inspired by other artists who dedicated themselves in sketching as a part of their learning. The first experience was that of a mini drawing book which was forgotten on the past days, because it was small, haha. This sketch pad is really handy and like others, this will be filled with sketches and stuffs related to free-hand drawings/illustrations.

Here are some sketches done:

The large sketches were inspired by the movie Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter while the small others are just random. Didn't have camera and these images were scanned, that's why the images doesn't seem complete or fit on the canvas.

The first post for the month of December...

Haven't really posted for the month of November, kinda don't like the month since 2011 and it was also a busy period doing freelance for an author and it was finished last week. This is the first post in December, a rough idea just came about a girls face, some sort of Asian features maybe, and a robotic outfit, but it is not shown, only just below the neck.

Here are some screenshots:

The smartbro sim here, a broadband connection usually used for a one day internet connection is not functioning now, it cannot send text to enable a one day internet connection and it's really causing problems now.
