Finished photo study session from Conan The Barbarian Movie screenshot..
Finished another photo study session and this is the first one for this year of 2015. The object was from a screen capture of the movie Conan The Barbarian. Below is an animated painting process images.
Here's the actual work space with the palette and time frame. It has been effective since a session like this was started. This is the 4th session with a work space like this where there is no zooming in or out and no color picking. The first attempts was a good start and the preparation was not that hard too. Before starting this, arrange your work space and set the reference at the left side, then after that try to guess and colors you see on the pictures then set it in a new document and plot the colors. As you go through, your palette will have more colors too.
Here's the final illustration.

Some unfinished studies for this month...
Doing photo studies is the thing I observed that others do in order to improve their understanding and used of colors. It's fun and I think it can really help someone build a step by step foundation to become better. Here are 2 unfinished things for this month and would probably complete this before the next month.
The first one is a fan art for Overwatch developed by Blizzard, the character Winston is cool and this dude rocks on the youtube trailer.

Dealing with cover layout design using InDesign for a fantasy book series...
For the past months, it was a slow and smooth work flow for a project about a book series. The illustration was made and the cover layout was next and learning things about InDesign should be done since it is the thing that should be used for the layout. With video tutorials on youtube, basic application about InDesign was learned and the cover layout was completed but several revisions are needed regarding with spacing, margins, alignment and etc.
Here's a slice image of the illustrations done. Maybe the series is up to seven but is not sure and three of it is near completion.

Another WIP on the list, hopefully this will be completed before 2015 as well as the others...
Browsed mangareader this day since a feed appeared on facebook that the manga series of Naruto has ended. Read the last three episodes since it was a month or more that the website was browsed again. The ending of the battle was good and the war on the story has indeed. The main character, Naruto reached his dream at the end becoming a Hokage, the seventh one.
Decided to create a fan art and Hyuuga Hinata is the object. She's the simplest and prettiest among the ninja girls and she's strong too! Again, it is not finished, maybe soon before 2015.

The new layout looks good, maybe this should be done before 2015...
Been doing revision on the website but couldn't put so much time on it and decided to minimize the content in the design to lessen the coding and time. This is the layout of the website, hopefully the other pages will be done this month and the coding next month, enough before 2015 starts. A new shape will happen really soon.

Just a random sketch for this month...
It's amazing to see the sketches of Kim Jung Gi and be inspired and amazed by his perspective and concepts. The man is really gifted and passionate about his drawings and he's totally an artist that can inspire a lot of people.
Created this lame attempt sketch to try some angles, haha..
